Manage members, monitor safety, respond to emergencies.

What is the Organization Portal?

The Organization Portal lets human rights organizations, animal rescues, elder care providers, disability services, and community safety groups manage daily check-ins for the people they serve.

When you are approved, your portal includes:

  • Member dashboard -- see who has checked in, who has missed, and who needs attention
  • Seat management -- create member seats and generate invite links for easy app setup
  • Alert contacts -- set organization-wide phone numbers and emails that receive missed check-in alerts
  • Invite system -- generate time-limited invite links so members can connect their app to your org
  • Privacy controls -- high-privacy members have their data redacted even from your dashboard
  • Directory listing -- optionally appear in the public directory so users can find and apply to your org

Data storage acknowledgment

Before accessing the portal, please review and acknowledge the following:

  • Law enforcement disclosure risk: If you choose to store member data on our servers, you acknowledge that if law enforcement subpoenas our database, member names, addresses, and other stored information could be disclosed.
  • High privacy recommendation: For populations vulnerable to this risk, we strongly recommend enabling high privacy mode for each member. High privacy mode limits what data is stored on our servers.
  • Separate emergency procedures: Your organization must maintain its own emergency contact information and response procedures separately from individual member packets stored in this system.

Member onboarding checklist

When setting up a new member, we recommend collecting and securely storing the following information. You can enter it in the member's profile on the Members tab, or store it in your own system.

Personal information

  • Full legal name
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • Home address
  • Place of work / school
  • Medical conditions, allergies, medications
  • Emergency contacts (separate from app contacts)

Home and dependents

  • Pets: type, name, feeding schedule, temperament
  • Are pets friendly to people entering the home?
  • Pet sitter name and contact
  • Children or elderly dependents
  • Babysitter or caregiver name and contact
  • Is the member comfortable giving you a house key or access code?
  • Home access instructions (lockbox, garage code, etc.)

App setup steps

  1. Add the member on the Members tab and generate an invite link
  2. Share the invite link with the member (in person or via secure message)
  3. Help them download the app and enter the invite code during setup
  4. Help them set their daily check-in time and grace period
  5. Help them add at least one emergency contact (can be your org's number)
  6. Recommend they fill out their emergency packet in the app
  7. If appropriate, help them enable the check-in PIN for added safety

Important safety note

Your organization must store personally identifying information in your own records, not just in this system. The member's app-side emergency packet is theirs to manage. Your organization should maintain separate records so you can respond effectively even if the app data is unavailable.
