Just Chicken In

Just Chicken In is a daily safety check in system for individuals, families, and organizations supporting vulnerable people.

A daily check in that protects privacy and supports real life care

Minimal data by design

How it works

  • You pick a daily check in time.
  • You check in with a quick tap.
  • If you miss it, there is a built in grace period.
  • After that, your chosen contacts are notified by phone, email, or both.
  • If you made a care packet, the alert includes a secure link to it.
Standard accounts keep the packet link available for 7 days. High Privacy accounts keep it available for 48 hours.

Privacy and safety features

  • We do not store names or identifying personal information.
  • We collect the minimum information required for alerts to work.
  • We do not track behavior, build profiles, or sell data.
  • No AI is used anywhere in the app or website.
  • High Privacy Mode uses a de identified ID and short lived packet links.
On High Privacy Mode, after 48 hours the packet link expires and the entire account is wiped from our back end as if it never existed.

Care packets help no one get left behind

  • Pet care instructions and routines
  • Dependents and minors care information
  • Home access notes and practical next steps
  • Anything you want a trusted helper to know

Built for access and community support

  • Sliding scale pricing with a goal of supporting as many free accounts as possible.
  • Free accounts stay anonymous because no card information is collected.
  • Organizations can be a check in contact for members without reliable local contacts.

Just Chicken In was created around a simple, familiar idea: just checking in. It is the kind of message a friend sends, or a parent says, when they drop in and want you to know you matter. It is a term of affection and caring, made practical for modern life.

This app is for people who may not have someone nearby to check on them every day, and for families who want a reliable way to look out for loved ones from a distance. It is also for people who are living in a new place without a strong local network, especially when they have pets or dependents who would need immediate care if something happened.

The flow is intentionally simple. You choose a daily check in time. If you check in, nothing else happens. If you miss it, the app waits through a grace period. After that grace period, your emergency contacts are notified. They can be phone numbers, email addresses, or both. If you created a care packet, the message includes a secure link so helpers can act quickly without guessing.

Privacy is not an add on here. It is the foundation. We do not store names or identifying personal details. We keep data minimal so vulnerable people are not put at risk. For users who need extra protection, High Privacy Mode sends alerts using a de identified ID instead of personal details. The care packet link expires after 48 hours, and then the entire account is erased from our systems as if it never existed.

We also want to be explicit about what we do not do. We do not use artificial intelligence in any part of the app or website. There are no automated judgments, no pattern analysis, and no hidden systems evaluating behavior. Just clear, predictable rules that you can understand.

Just Chicken In is not about monitoring. It is about care. It is about making sure pets are fed, dependents are safe, and people are supported when they cannot return home. It is just checking in, together.
